Seeking highly motivated, experienced Regional Sales Director to lead a team of technical sales professionals responsible for expanding market share within the Municipal Water and Wastewater markets of a multi-state region in Northeastern United States.
 
Our client is an environmental leader in water and wastewater services providing a comprehensive suite of leading-edge solutions throughout the whole water production, treatment and distribution cycle including water infrastructure condition assessments, innovative technologies, rehabilitation services, professional maintenance programs and sustainable asset management solutions.
 
Job Responsibilities of the Regional Sales Director:
  • Lead a direct sales team to profitably increase market share within the Municipal Water and Wastewater markets of a multi-state region in Northeastern United States including PA, MA, NY, NJ, CT, RI, NH, VT, and ME.
  • Prepare and implement individual and team action plans to meet/exceed sales and performance objectives.
  • Lead, evaluate, coach and provide training to technical sales team in areas of consultative sales process, problem solving, service and solutions offerings, etc.
  • Regularly monitor, report and present key performance indicators to executive leadership team.
  • Develop and manage regional customer portfolio based on market development strategy.  Assist with the development of proposals and conduct joint sales calls with sales representatives as required.
 
What you will need to be successful in this Regional Sales Director role:
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years sales management experience with proven ability to lead a team of front-line sales representatives to increase market penetration and meet annual sales objectives.
  • 3+ years successful direct sales experience of long-term environmental and water contracts and services into Municipal and/or Industrial markets. 
  • Must have technical aptitude to sell new products and services.
  • Outstanding relationship building skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must reside in region and be ready to travel throughout the region, up to 50%.
