Seeking highly motivated, proactive Vice President of Sales and Operations to lead sales and operations organizations responsible for expanding market share within the Municipal Water and Wastewater markets of a multi-state region in the Southeastern United States.
 
Our client is an environmental leader in water and wastewater services providing a comprehensive suite of leading-edge solutions throughout the whole water production, treatment and distribution cycle including water infrastructure condition assessments, innovative technologies, rehabilitation services, professional maintenance programs and sustainable asset management solutions.
 
Job Responsibilities of the Vice President of Sales and Operations, Municipal Water Services Industry:
  • Responsible for leadership of sales and operations teams within southeastern United States.
  • Establish strategic objectives and regional sales strategy.  Hold sales and ops team accountable to attain company sales, profitability and strategic objectives.
  • Develop corporate brand and image in region.
  • Develop and implement action plans to further penetrate markets in region.
  • Negotiate and approve contracts and agreements with customers and contractors as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Sales and Operations to leverage scale and ensure consistency across regions.
 
What you will need to be successful as Vice President of Sales and Operations, Municipal Water Services Industry:
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7-10 years of leadership experience of BOTH Sales and Operations/Service Organizations within the Municipal Water Industry with proven track record of increasing market penetration, improving profit margin and engaging personnel to meet annual goals.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with long-term environmental and water contracts and services into Municipal and/or Industrial markets. 
  • Strong financial acumen including extensive understanding and experience managing P&L and budgets.  Experienced developing capital investment plan appropriate to delivery of services.
  • Must have technical aptitude to sell and deliver new products and services.
  • Outstanding relationship building skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to territory (TN, KY, WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS) and be ready to travel throughout the region, up to 50%.
